Network Technologist II BD53-E04 or Prin Computer Network Technologist BD54-E05 Job Description : The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network hardware, software and related infrastructure. You will design, plan, install and support network communications systems. You also provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture including specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implements techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. The Senior Network Engineer must be team orientated, motivated and willing to work closely with and support the various engineering directorates, operations staff and the local security office. The candidate must have knowledge of network hardware, software, transmission, signaling, cabling, switching, and routing components used in data and voice communications networks. You will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IDS IT Network and Computer Systems Engineering environments. You also will ensure that network hardware, operating systems, software systems, application software and related procedures align with company's standards and policies and Department of Defense security protocols. As a member of the IDS IT Network and Computer Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for network engineering and architecture in all phases of program life cycles. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research and development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. This position can be a Sr Computer Network Technologist II - E04 or a Principal Computer Network Technologist - E05 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibilities required for the position. Position can be based in Andover, MA; Tewsbury, MA; Sudbury, MA; Woburn, MA; or Portsmouth, RI. Occasional International Travel (up to 3 - 4 weeks at a time) required. Required Skills: 6 years of network engineering experience including, but not limited to: o TCP/IP networking protocols o Debugging (tcpdump, etherpeek, netstat) and programing at the network level. o IP Multicast. Desired Skills: Must possess or be able to obtain US DoD Secret Clearance Experience with network hardware, software, transmission, signaling, cabling, switching, and routing components used in data and voice communications networks. Demonstrates thorough understanding of the 7 layer OSI model Demonstrates strong firewall and access control list knowledge Proficient in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with data circuits and related vendor management Experience with video teleconferencing, IP Telephony, VoIP, QoS and WAN Optimization. Capability to articulate a technical solution and demonstrate it on a whiteboard Experience with classified computing or with multi-level classified environments, NISPOM, DoD 8500.2 Demonstrates strong knowledge of Visio diagramming and design capabilities Experience with type 1 cryptography devices (Taclane configuration and operational understanding) Experience with Virtualization (VMWare) Experience with Cloud Computing Concepts and Architectures Strong troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills, both oral and written Solid organizational and time management skills Project management experience in a technical IT environment Cisco CCNP or CCDP Certification or other applicable certifications Required Education: BS/BA in Computer Science,

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
