RI We are located on conservation land along the Sakkonet River.
We have a herd of over 200 Black Angus Cattle, as well as our pasture-raised chicken.
Aquidneck Farms is a regenerative agriculture farm using ecologically sound practices including rotational grazing.
Our work environment includes:
Casual work attire On-the-job training Supportive Atmosphere We are looking to hire for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2023 season.
We need assistance during the week at the farm store at least one day from 11AM-5PM and at Farmer's Market on Saturdays (Required), varying hours usually from early morning to afternoon (7AM to 3PM).
Our farm markets are the busiest time of the year and we will be driving to and from locations, moving product and setting up tents.
Must be able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs.
), work in all weather conditions (farm markets are outside, may include rain, cold, or heat), be prompt and on time and have a respectable work attitude.
We are a small farm and have few employees so looking for a person or persons who fit well and are team players.
A plus would be someone who has previously worked in a farm environment, or a retail setting, but is not required.
This job is a temporary/seasonal contract position beginning in mid August until Spring.
